My favorite activity this year in english class was when we read the book Ender’s Game. I’m not a big fan of reading books but this one caught my eye. I liked the story and how it was introduced. I would like to continue reading the series throughout the summer.I also like the fact how we had class discussions we had some laughs but learned at the same time which was pretty fun. My least favorite activity in english class was how we had to read and annotating. I disliked the fact we had to annotate books. I dislike annotating because there is too much writing and you have to read. I dislike reading books because if they are not eye-catching then it makes me sleepy. Annotating is the activity i learned from the most it is helpful but a lot of writing it helps u in a way that when it comes to tests and quizes over the book just look at the annotations before the test and you might have the answer written down. There was not an activity that I was interested in which was not covered by in class. Annotating prepared me for the TAKS test. I used it when ever i read the story wrote down the errors or misspellings there were before answering the questions. The thing that prepared me for next year english was all the annotating , Figurative language, and Imagery. The book we read in class that i liked a lot was Ender’s Game it was an interesting fiction story that i liked. How it was written was one of the things i liked about it where in the book it is written as if in the future.(266)

It depends on why they are manipulating them to see if its fair or not. I think that manipulating them to save the world is a pretty fair thing. Without their manipulation, there would probably not be a world left, so it’s basically for the good of mankind. How they are treated however, is a bit harsh. They are doing everything possible to try to break the team down and to drive Ender crazy. Its good and bad how they are getting treated. The way they are treating the kids at battle school is for their own good. They are treated like adults due to the reason of the battle. They want to have a smart army in order for them to win. The way they are treated is to show them the world is not easy and it will help them improve in life. The strategies and tactics they are being taught is to excercise their brain and challenge them for a good cause. Its also bad because the children’s childhood is getting crushed. They are getting recruited at a young age and getting taken away from their family at that age is not a good idea. Its a tough choice if they choose right they can be someone with great knowledge if they pass all the test the school puts in front of them. It is bad because their child days will be over and they will miss out on things a kid their age should be doing. (250)

I think it was ok what they did and letting him go. He did not do it on purpose but he did it to protect himself. He did not know he killed them all he knows is he hurt them. He got away with it because he was defending himself and he did not know he killed them.He should not be punished because it was not intentional. He did it to protect himself. If he gets in another fight and kills someone he would again wont know he killed him. To him he is just defending himself since no is around to defend him. I think they should not tell him because if they do and he gets in a fight again he will not defend himself and would be disappointed in himself for killing someone else. Most of the murder cases get closed and the person who did it gets caught. Now a days there is so mmuch corruption in the government that sometimes they do get away with it and it is not right. The government is not straight with their rules and that is not fair other people who are innocent get convicted with other peoples bad deeds because of corruption in the courts between the judges, executioners and the convict.(214)

Dink is correct in the quote he says. If the kids lose then they will learn from the mistakes they have done and will fix them. They are learning they are not professionals who dont make mistakes. He wants to show that if a kid loses a battle he will show them the mistake and tell them to make it better and to watch what the mistake was to improve. He does not feel sorry beacause the observations he is expiriencing are mistakes that he will correct if needed. Their goals are to become the best to become commanders and be the best. Now the younger ones just do what they are told but the older ones are the most competitive ones . They are not normal their little geniuses. They are taking trigonometry and calculus while children their age should be on adding and subtracting barley. A normal child at that age is playing with toys . They would be watching cartoons , playing at the park , and have imaginary friends. I do not consider myself to have had a good childhood because i never played with toys i never had imaginary friends or watched cartoons. My mom says i never left her side. That i would not move from were i was unless she told me too. I never really had many friends untill now that i have met alot. I would have loved to have had a nice childhood but i guess whats done is done.(246 )

Pete will be jelous and dispise him because of the fact ender was elected and not him.Ender will be affected by how he will miss his mother ,father and sister. The feelings he has for them will have an impact on him if he leaves.It would be very difficult for him to leave. He has to make the right choice and awknoledge he will be far from home, mayb not even see them ever again. I have a brother and our relationship is both we can fight at times and then at times we would play outside or videogames.I would not change anythign i like it how it is although we fight alot but he finds who made the mistake and tells me and thats when we apoligize if we did anything wrong to each other or disrespected each other.I would do anything for my brother even though he can be annoying and a pain.I think that Ender and Peter have a bad relationship because of the age and how they were not raised together since they were little.The age diffrence between them makes them think diffrently and Peter is not patient to show him or teach him new things or how the world functions.If jelousy would not overcome Peter he would be smart and tell ender how Battle school is like or the short cuts and paths incase he gets lost.(232)

We read a book called Farenheit 451 it was average book . What i would like to see continue is the reading together as a class and doing the guides as a class. I really like that and would like it if it continues.It got me into the book when we did it as a class.As a class we also understood the book a little bit better . We got into it and particapated which i really liked.I also liked the fact we did not have to do these word press blog things for warm up.We came in and sat down discused what happened last class in the book and got right to reading . I like the vocab we did and the website we used to do the vocabulary words . If this continues it would be really good expirience.It helped me understand and memorize the words better.I hope it continues this six weeks and the next six weeks.My least favorite thing was the book we read it did not make sense at first but after explaining it and disscusing it as a class it was clear. The book was not that great and was not that bad. I liked it its a good book to pass some time if bored or just want to pick up a book and read.I hope we get better book this six weeks.I hope to pass this six weeks because last six weeks was easy and i hope this six weeks is the same as last six weeks so i can pass again.(255)

People now are adapted to technology basically have become lazy.They are relying on technology to do work and other things for them. Some people have stopped reading some have not. The ones who have stopped are inform thru television and computers. The ones who havent still read the newspaper and go to public libraries read up on things happening int he world at the time. This is happening to the new generation because of the technology it is making it easier for the new generation to get acces to anything fast , efficient and with out having to walk much . The older generation still read even though some use the computer, they mostly read the newspaper or go to the libraries with friends and discuss and read magazines, newspaper, and books to get up to date in technology. The only thing that would work wouldnt happen and people wouldnt like it. They can stop the internet acces and television transmission but that would mean governtment would go into dictatorship or communism.I personally wouldnt like that. It wouldnt be fair and people would rebel against the government.In the novel its the other way around they dont read because its bad for them supposely and its all lies what books say.There just getting brainwashed by the government in order for them to take over everyone and have the people act like dogs. They do everything they are told and do what everyone does.That wouldnt be fun if it happened in the real world.(250)

A Separate Peace

I have been jealous of a friend . He would get wanted every he wanted and got away with everything .I would just be mad and sad because I didn’t have the things he had.That i know of i have never had a friend been jealous of me because I don’t show things off or tell him oh I got this and you dont.The jelousy i had towards my friend went away and I didn’t see him that much anymore. He would show off everything new he got and make me feel sad because i didn’t have it .The only thing he didn’t have to show off was his parents love and care for him. They never spent time with him and he only lived with his mom .He did nothave a dad with him but he had all the new games all the new electronic devices.I noticed that he had all the nice technology but he did not have his parents with him or care for him. I saw that is better to have your parents and spen time with them is better than being in front of a t.v. all day. i would rather spend time with my familiy playing outside or doing activities than being stuck in a room all day and not knowing if your mom or dad is home .Jelousy can make you mad but is better to live with your family if they dont provide everything you want .I like having family dinners on thanksgiving and on christmas having a blast with my famiily than being lonely playing games,watching t.v., or not playing sports with friends .(268 )

protagonist would be Brutus because throughout the story he is mentioned alot.He also is the one who kills Julius Caesar and gets together the conspirators in order for Caesar to be put down.The Antagonist i would have picked would be Antony.He is enraged with what the conspirators did to Caesar and wants to avenge Caesar . He tries to kill Brutus and succeds.One of the Brutus own soldiers is order by Brutus to kill him.The Play is titled correctly because it is about a Julius caesar and his life .It Is about how he lived and how he died.The play shows how this piece of history was true and comes to life on stage by actors and props.I wouldnt change the name i would leave it as it stands because it is a piece of history and cannot be changed.The name of Julius Caesar can’t be changed so the play is good as it is in name wise.(157)

I think he did a bad decision because no one deserves to die just because someone thinks they are going to do wrong. It’s like saying we have to kill the president he might have too much power and we are afraid we will do something bad to the economy.Even though he thought about his country and the people in it i think he made a wrong decision. The toughest decision i had to make was when i was going into high school it was either go into a good school or go with my friends to a normal level school.It was a hard decision to make but i picked the right one.In academy i met new friends and im in a good school wich offers a lot of programs to be at a better future.Even though i miss my old friends i made new ones and im glad with the decision i made.I am preparing for my future and my old friends would not ahad helped me to my future.(171)
